GARRTECH Relocating To Stoney Creek

The sod was turned last week on a new horizon for Garrtech Inc.
“This is an exciting time for our company”, said Garrtech co-owner Rob Fazackerley. “The pace of our industry has forced us to expand.”
Garrtech is expected to complete the move from its location on Grays Road in Hamilton to Arvin Avenue in Stoney Creek by the New Year.
The company produces blow moulds for bottles, coolers and auto parts, to name a few.
Garrtech currently employs 50 people and contributes more than a $1 million annually to the local economy.
Construction will begin immediately on a new 35,000 square foot facility on Arvin Avenue east of Glover Road.
“The new facility will be a lot nicer and give us a more professional approach,” said Tony Paget during a ground-breaking ceremony held last Friday. “This move signifies the growth of our company and we hope to see continued growth as we begin operations in our new building later this year.”
Mayor Anne Bain took part in the ground-breaking ceremony, and welcomed the company to Stoney Creek.
“We are looking forward to seeing the building finished,” she said. “We are very happy to have you in Stoney Creek. I’m looking forward to cutting the ribbon.”
The cost of the new building is estimated at $1.2 million. Garrtech was founded in 1991.♦
